Surgeries in Falmouth and Penryn have announced that all care home residents in the local area have been vaccinated in the space of just 5 days.

The surgeries said they were "really proud" of the milestone and are waiting for the next supply of vaccines.

A spokesperson for The Falmouth Health Centre Practice said:

"We are working as fast as we can to get our patients their covid vaccines.

"In the space of 5 days, we have managed to vaccinate all care home residents in the Falmouth and Penryn area, which we are really proud of.

"We have completed 2 x weekend vaccination clinics so far - in December and this weekend just gone, and are awaiting notification for our next supply so we can invite more people.

"Please remember we will contact you when we know when our next delivery of vaccines will be.

"Please do not ring the surgery to try and book one, our phone lines are getting overwhelmed with enquiries about the vaccine. Please be reassured we will contact you when it's your turn."
