Falmouth: Coastguard update following emergency incident at Swanpool Beach yesterday

Emergency services were called out to the scene of an incident at Swanpool yesterday afternoon.

The coastguard have responded to an emergency incident yesterday at Swanpool Beach, Falmouth.

Yesterday afternoon, emergency services descended onto Swanpool Beach after reports a person had fallen from the rocks near Pennance Point.

A casualty was reportedly taken to hospital following the fall.

Today (31st), the coastguard have updated Nub News on the incident, a spokesperson for HM Coastguard commented:

"At approximatley 12:15pm yesterday (30th August), HM Coastguard received a 999 call from a member of the public reporting an injured swimmer at Stack Point.

"Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team were sent to assist the South Western Ambulance Service with evacuation. The swimmer was taken to hospital by the ambulance service."
