Saturday (February 1st) will see Truro Co-op start selling a more tasty alternative to the usual Valentine's Day gift, with the release of their rose-shaped ice cones.

A first for a UK food retailer and available in a 'bunch' of four (£2.00), Co-op Strawberry Rose Cones taste like fresh strawberries and cream, are topped with strawberry sauce and served in a vibrant green wafer cone.

Gemma Gray, Co-op Ice Cream Product Developer, said:

"We've taken inspiration from the Insta-famous gelato parlours across the globe and put our own Co-op spin on the frozen treat.

"Over the past 12 months, we've worked really hard to perfect the delicate ice cream petals on our Strawberry Rose Cones, making sure we were creating a product that not only looks camera-ready but also tastes delicious.

"The cones are the perfect way to share a bit of love this Valentine's Day, whether that's with a partner or friends!"
