On Sunday, church bells will ring in Falmouth in remembrance of Captain Sir Tom Moore.

Captain Tom sadly passed away on Tuesday 2nd February, at the age of 100, and there will be 100 strikes in memory at All Saints Church, Killigrew Street.

He came to prominence during the COVID lockdowns and restrictions and raised over £32 million for NHS charities by walking many laps of his home garden.

Capt Tom became an inspiration and source of all that was good in our country at a time when so many were suffering illness or the effects of the ongoing pandemic.

A spokesperson for the church said:

"On Sunday at 12 noon, our Church Bell will toll 100 times to mark Captain Tom's passing, you will have to be nearish to the church in order to hear the bell. RIP Sir Captain Tom."

Other churches in the area will also be joining in ringing the bells for Captain Tom.
