Care home workers from Falmouth and Truro joined forces in a sponsored walk to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society during Dementia Action Week.

Hugh Dickinson & Adele Beaton are the Home Services Advisors at Falmouth Court Care Home and Kenwyn Care Home in Truro.

Residents and staff were all very supportive and were there to cheer on the participants as they began the fundraising challenge at Kenwyn and were there to congratulate them when they finished at Falmouth Court several hours later.

Hugh, Home Services Advisor at Falmouth Court Care Home, added:

"Taking part in this challenge has been a huge amount of fun and everyone at the home has been behind us all the way. It's for such an important cause.

"I'm very glad to be able to do my bit to raise further awareness and money for the charity."

The pair raised a grand total of £380 by completing the challenge, which will be donated to Alzheimer's Society.
