Falmouth and Penryn Boxing Club have put out an appeal for funds to purchase a minibus in order to take their members to sparring and training sessions, as well as competitions.

Brett Ralph, a senior boxer and volunteer at the club, told Nub News:

"A minibus would give the club an opportunity to take large groups of the children across the county to gain sparring experience and develop before taking part in their first bouts.

"The minibus would also transport senior and junior boxers and the volunteer coaches around the country to compete for the club.

"The club is really growing in popularity and the youth squad is very strong with a bright future if we can fulfil their potential."

The club posted on twitter:

"We are looking for sponsors, donations or any help raising funds for a minibus so we can travel to get our junior squad as many bouts as possible. We are a volunteer-run club and are growing all the time."
