There is slow traffic following an accident near ASDA, Penryn.

Pirate FM reported delays this evening just after 5pm (21st) on the A39 between Treliever and ASDA roundabout.

Emergency services are on the scene. Reports suggest a motorcyclist could be involved.

A travel update from the AA reads: "Road closed and slow traffic due to multi-vehicle crash on A39 Southbound from A394 (Treliever Roundabout) to Asda Petrol Station. Reported three cars and a motorbike are involved."

An eyewitness said: "There's been a really horrible accident on the road between the Uni and ASDA roundabouts going Falmouth way (ie Uni to Penryn College). Give yourselves extra time."

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Nub News: "Police were called at 4:50pm yesterday, 21 June, following a collision involving two cars and a motorcycle on the A39 in Penryn.

"The male motorcyclist was taken to Treliske Hospital. Injuries not described as life-changing or threatening. No other injuries reported.

"The road into Penryn was closed near Asda and reopened at 7.55pm.
