Arrest made after police vehicle rammed in Penryn

Police Commander BCU for Cornwall, Ian Drummond-Smith, has released a statement on social media documenting how a police vehicle was rammed into in Penryn.

The officer in the vehicle was left with minor injuries following the incident.

Ian Drummond-Smith said:

"Police vehicle rammed overnight in Penryn by a suspicious car, injuring the officer.

"Offending vehicle located nearby on fire - suspected driver arrested.

"Great police work - officer only has minor injuries."

Devon and Cornwall Police have been contacted for a comment.
