Driver arrested after positive drugs test in Falmouth

A routine patrol led to the arrest of a driver in Falmouth following a positive drug wipe.
Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team were monitoring the A39 yesterday evening (19th) just after 10pm when they located a high-risk road user.
The driver was flagged up as part of Operation Dragoon - an initiative aiming to stop high-risk drivers from causing crashes.
A drug test came back positive for cocaine - which resulted in the arrest of the motorist.

On social media, a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team added:
"Routine patrol on the A39 high harm route at Falmouth where we located a Operation Dragoon high-risk road user. Provided a positive drug wipe, resulting in arrest and blood obtained."
