Cornwall Council is set to review the way the dogs on beaches rules worked this summer - including in Falmouth.

Cornwall Councillor for Falmouth Smithick, Jayne Kirkham is welcoming comments for feedback on the rule changes.

Earlier this month the summer dog beach ban came to an end.

In November, the review of the changes will go ahead at the Neighbourhoods Overview and Scrutiny Committee meeting.

Jayne Kirkham said:

"You will remember that rules changed this year so that dogs are allowed on all beaches before 10am and after 6pm in the summer months, with slightly longer restrictions on Blue Flag beaches.

"There were concerns about how this would work out, particularly on the busier, smaller Cornish beaches, like the ones we have in Falmouth.

"I would be grateful if you could let me have your comments about how the rule changes worked so I can feed them back to the Scrutiny Committee and relevant CC Cabinet member, Rob Nolan."
