Falmouth University has announced that it will be suspending face-to-face teaching and project and studio activity in response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The University has decided to provide the rest of teachings online and only to keep essential resources open to the students if they wish to use them.

In an email sent to all students, Vice-Chancellor of Falmouth University, Anne Carlise, said:

"The health and wellbeing of our campus community is our first priority. Falmouth University has therefore decided to suspend face-to-face teaching, project and studio activity from today, Tuesday 17th March.

"The decision has been made as a result of the rapid spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and the deep concern it is causing our community of students, staff and their families.

"Our essential campus facilities will remain open, so we can provide support services.

"Please do not use the workshops, studios and other technical facilities until we have communicated with you, via your course team, about how this will work.

"When using University facilities, please follow the Government's guidance on social distancing.

"Our plans will mean that students do not have to be on campus to achieve their learning outcomes, be assessed or to graduate."
