It was announced yesterday that Falmouth School would temporarily be open for Year 9 and Year 13 students following the Coronavirus outbreak.

The Year 7 and Year 8 students were instructed to work from home. Now, the school has offered to help those students who would have been getting free school meals, by offering them a packed lunch.

In a statement, the school said:

"We will be providing a packed lunch for Year 7 and 8 students eligible for free school meals on Thursday and Friday. These packed lunches will be available from reception from 12pm until 1pm, to be collected by the student, parent or carer.

"Please note due to the Coronavirus advice that these packed lunches should be collected by individuals – please do not bring anyone else with you for collection, in line with Government guidance."

The school added:

"The school will continue to make every endeavour to continue this offer for students whilst the crisis continues and the school remains open, depending on staff availability and Government advice and restrictions."
