The Princess Pavilion will host the Falmouth Spring Flower Show between Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of March, the event has marked the start of Spring in Falmouth for over 100 years.

Falmouth is proud to host Cornwall's oldest flower show, it was first opened at Gyllyngdune Gardens in 1910 by Queen Victoria's daughter Princess Christian, and run by Falmouth's Chamber of Commerce until 1982 when a voluntary committee took over.

The committee retired in 2019 and then it was taken over by the council who didn't want to lose such a historic event.

Entries for the show come from professionals at some of the big gardens of Cornwall, as well as from passionate gardeners of all ages from the community.

Organisers for the event have said: "As well as the traditional Daffodil, shrub, and Camelia classes there are also classes for cacti and succulents, orchids, and photography as well as classes just for children. All classes are FREE to enter. The closing date for entries is this Sunday 19th March."
