The awards are being handed out in the 2020/21 Cornwall Tourism Awards - including for those businesses in Falmouth and Penryn.

In a virtual ceremony this morning - 77 businesses were selected as finalists, among them waiting to find out are Budock Vean Hotel, Via Ferrata, National Maritime Museum and St Michaels Resort.

Bronze in New Tourism Business Award for Via Ferrata Cornwall, Penryn.

Casual Dining Gold award for Bango Kitchen, Penryn.

Pub of the year category, silver award for The Boathouse and a gold award for The Pandora Inn.

"We are so happy," Bango Kitchen's joint owners Nick and Howard said.

(13:26) - In the latest round of awards, The Cornish Seal Sanctuary, Gweek picked up multiple awards in the wildlife-friendly business category and gold in Dog-Friendly Business of the Year - not from Falmouth or Penryn but still impressive, congratulations to them.

[17:17] The Silver Large Hotel of the Year award is announced - well done to Budock Vean Hotel!
