The proposed Level 3 Devolution Deal for Cornwall has caused much debate and confusion as a Cornwall Council meeting leaves people scratching their heads.

A consultation questionnaire has now been made active and will run until midnight on the 17th of February, The council says that the results of the consultation will be considered before any decisions are made to approve the Deal.

Councillor Kirstie Edwards- Deputy Mayor for Falmouth said: "At Falmouth Town Council I put a motion to request that Cornwall Council ask the people of Cornwall if they want a Mayor for Cornwall and all that entails. It passed unanimously, and to date 76 town and parish councils across Cornwall have asked the same.

"As elected members of our towns and parishes, we want the voices of our communities to be heard and for our residents to be part of taking this important decision for Cornwall, one that will effect us for generations. Instead, we have a consultation..."
