Cornish made film 'The Yukon Assignment' is met with raving reviews
The Yukon Assignment, a Cornish made film about a father and sons canoeing adventure, has been met with praise from viewers.
The film premiered again at The Plaza in Truro on Father's Day.
The film features British adventurer Chris Lucas, 34, and his father Niall Lucas, 64.
It follows their journey down one of the remotest rivers in the world, focusing on their interaction with each other along the way.
Love was shown on social media after the screening on Sunday, with someone writing how much it emotionally moved them.
It has also received raving reviews on IMDB - with one viewer stating: 'A really beautiful film, gentle, honest and engaging. The breathtaking scenery acts as a stunning backdrop to this father and son adventure".
The feature film was shot completely by the two leads as they journeyed five hundred miles through the wilderness.
The Plaza first premiered the film back in 2018 to a sold out audience. Since then, the film has gone on to tour in cinema's around the UK.
Charlie Fripp, producer of the film, spoke to Nub News Falmouth:
"The Plaza is especially important to us as they were the first cinema to screen the film. This is actually the third time they've shown it.
"They stuck their necks out for us because they didn't know if anyone would turn up on the first screening. In all honesty we didn't either.
"All the things I initially thought were weaknesses at the beginning of production, like the fact it wasn't very shiny with a large film crew, all turned out to be good things in the viewer's eyes. Which is amazing.
"It is not an edgy or high end production film, nor is it a 'critics' film - and I think that's what the audiences like about it".
