Roadworks see part of a main route through Mabe closed for the week.

The closure is on Antron Hill, Mabe, for footway improvement works starting on 7th March continuing until 11th March 9:30am to 4pm on a daily basis.

A diversion will be in force taking motorists through Treliever Road and Treliever Roundabout.

The closure notice reads:

"The council is satisfied that the order is needed because footway improvement works are being executed on or near the road."

Kevin Bryant, Cornwall Council Head of Highways and Infrastructure, added:

"Nothing in this order will apply to emergency services, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer. Pedestrian and vehicular access to residents and businesses will be maintained."
