Organisations based in Truro and Falmouth have received a combined near £500,000 in funding from the second round of grants from the Government's Culture Recovery Fund.

This follows hundreds of thousands received in recent weeks to several other organisations across the constituency.

This week we brought you the news that the Falmouth Poly had received £79,060 in a 'lifeline' from the Culture Recovery Fund.

The other awards saw £157,605 awarded to events management company ILOW HQ LTD, £249,833 awarded to the Kneehigh Theatre.

Local Member of Parliament Cherilyn Mackrory said:

"I am delighted to see more worthy beneficiaries of this Government's Cultural Recovery Fund in Truro and Falmouth.

"Our culture sector in Cornwall is so important and I am pleased to see the Government continue to recognise with support grants like this that will enable these organisations to come through this pandemic and out the other side to get back to helping to enrich our culture and entertaining people.

"I will continue to do all I can to push to ensure Cornwall and the people and businesses of Truro and Falmouth get their fair share of this unprecedented government support during these difficult times."
