In this weeks rewind feature sent in by Kevin Avery, residents can see Woolworths from the 1930s.

Woolworths Falmouth was opened in 1928 and closed in 2008, Woolies Buildings – Then and Now writes:

"Woolworths opened their third Cornish store in the coastal town of Falmouth in 1928, the others being St Austell and Camborne. The Falmouth store was a small one on Market Street.

"At some point, the store was extended to the left, and a new Art Deco style facade was put up on the upper floors.

"The store remained empty for a while, before becoming a Wilko."

The store closed on 30th December 2008.
