Cornwall Hospice Care recently relocated its Falmouth shop - moving into a brand new space with more stock.

Formerly based on Church Street, the charity has relocated to Market Street, into the premises that was occupied by Moss Bros.

The hospice is well established on the high street having been on Church Street for over 12 years - but has now moved just down the road with "big plans" for the new shop.

The shop was closed for a couple of days before a soft launch last week (Friday 15th) with an extended bric-a-brac section, new linens, and more children's items. Staff are hoping the new location will capture more people walking through town.

Shop Manager, Russell Stewart told Nub News:

"It is a big change because we were established up the road. It is a big challenge for everybody because we have gone so much bigger with more stock as well. We have had a good couple of first days, overall it has gone really well. It is just about maintaining it after that.

"The Church Street shop was one of the best performing shops in the hospice. Hopefully, we can carry that on and capture more people being in this location. I think we have something for everyone here."

With the opening of the bigger shop, Cornwall Hospice Care is looking to take on more volunteers, the charity added:

"We're looking for volunteers to complement our existing team - could that be you? If you have a morning or afternoon free on a regular basis (although we're very flexible!) why not have a chat with us?"
