Last month the Arwenack Club shared the news that they had been handed a Noise Abatement Notice after complaints from the public.

As you can read in the article linked above the club responded to the initial notice by saying it would just be a temporary pause in the entertainment and that they would be taking legal action going forward.

At the start of April the club then launched a petition to help save the business, the club said when referring to the notice: "This not only means that locals and visitors are deprived of the entertainment provided by one of the town's most popular venues, but that the Arwenack Club itself is under threat of closure which would result in the loss of 14 jobs. - not to mention the loss of a venue to local bands and DJs and the income to them."

1,660 people signed the petition showing their support for the former British Legion.

Nub News has contacted the Arwenack Club and Cornwall Council for a second statement on the outcome of the notice but yesterday the club announced "We're back" and has planned a weekend full of entertainment.

On social media, they said: "As of this weekend, we are back doing what we do best. We would like to take this time to thank absolutely everyone for their outstanding support! It has blown us away! We hope to see you all this weekend!!"

The club also announced what entertainment will be on over the weekend:

The Arwenack were also happy to share that their Karaoke will also resume every Friday as soon as their resident Friday night DJs come back from America where they are getting married. Snap & Sound Entertainments
