Police hope to find witnesses in white van

Police investigating a robbery in Falmouth have issued an appeal for witnesses.

The victim, a man in his 60s, was walking along Basset Street with his food shopping at around 9.30pm on Friday 7 June when he was attacked by a group of people.

He was punched in the face and repeatedly kicked while he was on the floor before his shopping was then stolen.

At the time of the incident, a small white van was seen turning from Basset Street into Penwerris Terrace.  

Police are appealing for the occupants of the white van - who might have witnessed all or part of this incident - to come forward.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released on police bail until 16 July.

A 17-year-old boy, a 16-year-old girl, and a 28-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and have been released under police investigation.
