Asda has announced another price cut of 2 pence per litre across both Unleaded and Diesel effective from today (Tuesday 10th March) following further decreases in wholesale costs.
Customers who shop at Asda in Penryn will now be able to get fuel at a price of no more than 114.7ppl on unleaded and 116.7ppl on diesel.
Drivers filling up at ANY of Asda's petrol stations will benefit from the price cut which has now seen the retailer bring fuel prices down by up to 11 pence since January.
Asda Senior Fuel Buyer, Dave Tyrer said:
"Once again we're pleased to be passing on wholesale cost reductions to customers. It will be a welcomed boost, especially to diesel drivers who are seeing some of the lowest fuel prices since 2017.
This cut brings fuel prices down to its lowest since Nov 2017.
Luke Bosdet, the AA's spokesman on fuel prices, said:
"For the past two years, UK drivers have had to endure petrol averaging 125p a litre – 15p a litre higher than during the lows of 2015 and 2016. Now, at last, some real financial relief will flow from the pumps."
