Adult social care update at Cornwall Gateway Community Network Panel meeting

Residents in Saltash, Torpoint and the Rame Peninsula are invited along to this week's Cornwall Gateway Community Network Panel to discuss issues that affect them and where they live.
The meeting is taking place in the Committee Room, Torpoint Town Council, 1-3 Buller Road, Torpoint, PL11 2LD from 6.30pm on Thursday, September 26.Suzanne Wixey, Cornwall Council's Service Director of Adult Social Care, will give a presentation on the transformation of adult social care and health and how it will benefit and impact the local community.
There will also be a presentation by Rob Andrew, Regeneration Manager at Cornwall Council on the South East Cornwall Regeneration Programme.Councillor Derek Holley, Chair of Cornwall Gateway Community Network Panel, said: "Everyone is invited to attend our Community Network Panel and hear about our work on local issues.
"Come along, find out more and meet your parish, town and Cornwall councillor."Community network panels are an opportunity for members of the public to engage with what's happening in their local area, to speak to their local Town and Parish Councillors and shape the future of where they live.
The Cornwall Gateway Community Network Panel meets quarterly to discuss matters that affect the local area and to progress these by working in partnership with Cornwall Council and its partners, including town and parish councils, the voluntary and community sector, and the police and health services. Some of the areas that community networks focus on include anti-social behaviour, economic development, the environment, community planning, regeneration, conservation, community safety, transport and highways issues.Cornwall Gateway Community Network Panel includes all Cornwall Councillors for the area including Salatash, Torpoint, Rame Peninsula, St Germans and Landulph.
