A walkthrough of the Flushing VE Day celebrations
You can now experience what the VE Day Celebrations were like at Flushing on Friday (10th) thanks to a new walkthrough video of the village.
Filmed by Flushing resident Tristan Marshall and organised by Lucinda Parker Roberts to provide a historical document whilst allowing the village to connect to each other despite social distancing.
Lucinda told Nub News that social distancing was in full force during this.
She also thanked those who worked tirelessly during the celebrations, Lucinda said:
"The number of volunteers on the day was amazing, delivering scones, checking on the vulnerable, making sure people were okay. There was a whole effort underway that really made Flushing what it is."
