A petition to open a Wagamama in Falmouth or Truro is being shared again after it was first created two years ago.

The petition credits Falmouth as "one of the most underrated areas in the UK", with "thousands of students who would love a Wagamamas".

The petition at the time of writing this has 388 signatures with a target of 500.

The petition continues: "With the lack of jobs on the area, this could also be an advantage to those who need jobs and to gain valuable experience in customer service.

"This would be a valuable part of Falmouth/Truro area for tourists, locals, and students."

Falmouth has seen the creation of many new restaurants in the last few months, most recently the floating restaurant La Peniche.

One resident responded to the sharing of the petition saying: "Or you know, support local business."

Another resident said: "If you're so worried about local jobs support local small businesses, not huge corporations."
