'A Night At the Races' is going to be held at The Penmorvah Manor Hotel, Budock Water, Falmouth to raise vital funds for Children's Hospice South West (CHSW).

The event on Friday 25th March is being organised by the CHSW Falmouth Friends Group.

This will be the group's first fundraising event for 2022, doors will open at 7pm and the first race will begin at 7:30pm.

Neil Slade, Hotel General Manager said:

"We are delighted to welcome the return of local events for 2022 and are particularly pleased to continue our support of Children's Hospice South West. The hospice continues to undertake terrific work for our community and we are humbled to play our part in supporting such a wonderful organisation."

Mary Murfin from the CHSW Falmouth Friends Group commented:

"We hope that as many people as possible will join us to help make the event a great success. We are very grateful to local businesses and supporters who have already sponsored the races and bought horses including: Boslowick Barbers, Village Emporium, BlackRock Fire & Security, Toad Hall Cottages and Cloud 9 Audio Visual.

"As CHSW is the only charity in the southwest providing specialist care and respite for children with life-limiting conditions and their families, we're really pleased to give our time to help raise vital funds for this charity."

Admission to the event is free however places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment and also pre-order pasties. Those attending can place as many £1 bets as they wish and there will also be a raffle and an auction of a unique horse painting by local artist Maureen Crofts.
