A Falmouth son has appealed to find a stranger who helped a family through the "worst time of their lives."
In November 2017, Amanda Batty, 49 was admitted into Treliske Hospital with a respiratory arrest.
The family was informed one evening that they would not see her again and to say their goodbyes.
The individual was there throughout this difficult time offering support and advice and even staying with the brother as he was in palliative care.
Amanda's son Riley, 19, got in touch with Nub News in an attempt to locate this person after all these years.
Riley Batty told Nub News:
"She hugged us at the worst moments and she was there for us when we needed support the most.
"She was there for my brother who was on palliative care she stayed with him every night and was probably one of the most helpful people for me and my siblings at that moment obviously all the medical staff were amazing too, however, they weren't able to support us in the way that she was able to even though she was going through what was probably one of the most tragic times in her life too.
"We remember her fondly and would like to let her know how much those hugs and words meant to us at that time if anyone knows who she is please get in touch because we would love to say thank you even if we just get you a coffee or if you really don't want to meet please know how much you helped over those few days."
Can you help Amanda and the family?
