A local cafe has issued a plea for kindness towards staff after recent reported incidents involving aggressive customers.

Life's a Beach Cafe, Maenporth, has urged customers to keep aggression under control following abuse towards cafe staff and the watersports team.

Leann Wright, the owner of Life's A Beach, with her son James, said on social media that both teams had been left shaken up by the incidents.

"Mistakes happen, we will always try to rectify the issue the best we can. We are working in difficult times, sometimes with minimum staff and huge supply issues," they wrote.

They added:

"We will always greet you with a big smile (behind our masks) and all we ask is you treat us the same."

Support was shown on social media for the cafe with the post receiving over 100 likes, and support from Castle Beach Cafe, with owner Fiona Crump saying:

"At times it does feel like the stresses and strains of the last 18 months have made some people less tolerant rather than kinder.

"We're sending all the Castle Beach hugs across the water to you."
