This week Penryn pub Seven Stars reopened to the public, Nub News went along to check it out.
The pub has had a complete revamp with a new beer garden, bed and breakfast rooms and a microbrewery.
Residents have been eagerly anticipating the reopening after the pub closed its doors nearly two years ago.
General Manager Andrew Watson told Nub News:
"When I got here it was a building site, no walls, no roof and I saw a vision of what it could be. I have been around Penryn for quite a while and you could see what it did need and what it didn't need, we have kept the original design but we have modernised it.
"We are ready to go, students, tourists, locals, we welcome everyone.
"So far so good, I think for years people drove past us and didn't really think anything of it but I think now you stop and you look a bit more.
"We are producing fantastic food, we have got some great staff, Bonnie has been here for 20 years, we have some students that all live locally, it is growing and growing and we are adapting accordingly."
How do Andrew and Bonnie describe the pub in 3 words? They said:
"Community, friendly, modern."
