Yesterday, Falmouth Town Clerk Mark Williams said he was "disappointed" after some groups were still ignoring the social distancing requirements in the parks.

A Town Council notice read:

"Several groups had to be reminded in Kimberley Park over the weekend. Repeatedly in one case."

On social media, Falmouth Town Council said they could review public access "to some or all of its sites" if social distancing requirements are not met.

Barriers have been placed in Kimberley Park as skateboarders continue to ignore social distancing.

Jayne Kirkham, Cornwall Councillor for Falmouth Smithick, told Nub News:

"It is really important for people's physical and mental health that they are able to get out into the fresh air and do some exercise daily which is why the parks and beaches are still open. We are very lucky to live in a place that is so lifting to the spirits.

"From what I can see locally to me on the beaches and around the Point, people are still maintaining social distancing and that is really helpful to us all and to the police whose job it is to make sure we are all exercising safely."

Falmouth residents also reacted to the council warning, one comment reads:

"I've even stopped walking my dog in Kimberley park because of the gatherings, I have been walking my dog just around the quiet streets."

A second comment reads:

"Can't believe how well they keep the park with so few people, thank you."

A third said:

"Please don't spoil the use of the park for others."
