Falmouth's iconic National Maritime Museum Conrwall has announced it will be reopening this month.

NNMC, based overlooking Discovery Quay, will be reopening its doors to the public on the 27th July.

The establishment has been closed for four months but has stayed active on social media providing online tours of their latest exhibitions.

In a statement, NNMC said:

"They say all good things come to those who wait and so after four long months we're DELIGHTED to let you know that we're reopening National Maritime Museum Cornwall on Monday 27 July.

"We can't wait to see you and we're so looking forward to sharing the Museum with you once again."

The Museum has detailed the changes visitors should expect to see as they open with new social distancing measures.

NNMC will now stagger entry and have introduced timed arrival slots.

Every visitor to the Museum will have to have pre-booked, including members and valid annual pass holders.

A new signposted one-way route around the Museum has been implemented and takes in all major galleries and exhibitions.

The Museum has said they are "cleaning more than ever" and are employing additional team members to regularly clean high-touch areas of the Museum.

NNMC was officially opened in 2003 and has been a vibrant tourist and local attraction ever since.

The Museum will be keeping its usual opening times of 10am to 5pm (last entry 3.30pm).

You can find out more about the reopening and NNMC by visiting their website.
