Work is underway to repair flood damage to the Falmouth Health Centre.

This morning (5th), the practice revealed that heavy rain overnight had caused major damage to the building.

The Met Office had issued a yellow alert for heavy rain as showers swept across Cornwall, expected to cause flooding to homes and businesses, and spray and flooding on roads.

The flooding meant they had to shuffle all their computers, phones, equipment, and staff around the building.

Visiting the surgery this morning, drainage company Clear-Flow could be seen working to the rear of the building.

A spokesperson at the surgery told Nub News:

"We are working with what we can at the moment, and we will be back to normal as soon as possible."
