Road closure following "serious" accident near Rame Cross

UPDATE: Traffic returned to normal, serious accident cleared on The local road between the A394 and Stithians.


A serious accident is causing heavy traffic near Rame Cross this afternoon.

Police were called out to reports that a car had crashed into a hedge between Stithians and Rame forcing a road closure.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"Police received a report at around 10:45am of a car colliding with a hedge at Stithians. Members of the public including an off-duty police officer gave initial assistance to a male occupant at the scene."

Police said the incident is ongoing - unclear of any injuries yet.
