Penryn's Thirsty Scholar temporary closure following positive covid test

The Thirsty Scholar, West Street Penryn, has temporarily closed after a positive covid test, it has been announced today.

The pub has closed for 10 days after a staff member reported a positive covid test, "we are doing our utmost to ensure that this is handled to the best of our abilities," they said in a statement.

Those who have been in the pub over the last two days are not required to isolate, however, they are advised to take a test regardless.

A spokesperson for The Thirsty Scholar added:

"Any bookings that have been made we are deeply apologetic for the inconvenience, and thank you to all those we have spoken to for being so understanding during these hard times."
