Fire crews were called out to Penryn this afternoon, Saturday 24th, following reports of a house fire.

Fire engines could be seen parked up on West Street - and traffic was being diverted, until the route was reopened shortly before 3pm.

Speaking to one of the fire crew members, they said the incident "wasn't too serious".

Cornwall Fire and Rescue have been approached for further information.
