The police have spoken to Nub News following our previous report on the out of control 'birthday party' which occurred on Saturday night at Boscawen Field and Gyllyngvase Beach.

It has been confirmed that there were 60-80 teenagers in attendance congregating in multiple groups.

A police spokesperson told Nub News:

"Police were notified on Saturday evening at around 10.20pm of disorder amongst a large group of teenagers in Falmouth.

"Officers attended the area where it was reported that multiple groups had gathered. Between 60-80 people were reported to have gathered the area and were dispersed by police.

"It was also reported that a male had been assaulted. Officers have since spoken to the man and no policing action is being taken at this time."

It is being said locally that the crowds occurred after a birthday party which was meant to be a small gathering got out of control.

Residents described seeing large crowds and hearing loud screams.

One Falmouth mother who attended the event to pick up her daughter previously told Nub News:

"The sound was sickening. I just knew there was fighting going on."

Anita Harrison, a personal trainer and Falmouth resident, found scattered smashed drink bottles, birthday cards, gift bags and toilet roll on Sunday morning.

Anita, speaking on the litter, told Nub News:

"My biggest concern is all the broken glass, someone will end up cutting themselves."
