Falmouth Coastguard are currently leading a major search for a missing diver at Pendennis.

It was revealed this afternoon by resident ship/nautical expert David Barnicoat, that the Falmouth lifeboats, harbour launch Killigrew, fishing vessels, the Coastguard helicopter, and other ships, are all involved in the search.

A spokesperson for HM Coastguard told Nub News:

"HM Coastguard is coordinating the search for a missing diver off Pendennis Point.

"Both Falmouth RNLI lifeboats, HM Coastguard's fixed-wing aircraft and the search and rescue helicopter from Newquay, a Royal Navy helicopter and vessels in the area are all involved in the search."

No details of the diver or the boat he was diving from have been released.

The coastguard said, "the search is ongoing."
