A Falmouth deli recently launched a new website delivering the best Cornish produce right to your doorstep.

The Cornish Kitchen, run by the owners of Oggies, Rebecca and John Frankiss - opened the deli at Bank Place in July 2021 with the mission to showcase their passion for Cornish food.

The space used to be occupied by Spice & Ice before its closure, and when the shop became available they saw it as a perfect opportunity to expand their operation. Gelling perfectly with their cafe just a few doors down.

The Cornish Kitchen aims to bring the best of Cornish food and drink - and provide a fun, welcoming atmosphere for people to enjoy locally sourced products.

"We recognise the history of Cornish food whilst not being afraid to give it a modern twist," the website reads.

Exciting things are going on at the deli, changing the layout of the shop with some new cosy seating. A new outdoor awning so people can sit outside undercover. Whilst adding new items regularly such as Country Cordials, new alcohol, and chocolate products.

The shop specialises in local produce, with their own freshly baked bread, Montreal style bagels, local wines, olives from Spain, coffee and tea, and a small menu for eat in or take away.

Rebecca and John also launched a new website that enables people to order their products online to pick up or be delivered.

Rebecca told Nub News:

"We can send Charcuterie and cheeses through the mail, next day delivery. If you need it we can send it."

Discussing the progress of the deli so far, Rebecca continued:

"The summer was really good, everyone that comes in loves it, people comment on how good the food is. However, we are just trying to increase awareness that we are here.

"For breakfast mainly we do pastries and coffees. Lunches are big for us, we do deli sandwiches and bagels, we have a different soup every day, coffees, and cakes.

"2022 we will be looking to do some events, with music outside as we did for the lights switch-on."

The Cornish Kitchen is open Monday-Sunday 9am-5pm.
