A local boating company has fallen victim of theft after discovering engines had been stolen from boats on the beach at Helford Passage.

Helford River Boats Ltd revealed details of the incident that is believed to have occurred in the early hours.

A spokesperson for Helford River Boats said:

"Nothing was taken from engine store but most on the beach have been bolt cropped and fuel lines cut. If anyone has any info or is offered a dinghy sized outboard please let us or the police know.

"We're still trying to work out how many have gone but it could be as many as 8.

"Police have been informed and will be attending (at some point); any customers who've been targeted please call 101 and quote the crime reference DCP 20200909-0149 so that it can all be tied up together."
