Cornish folk singer/musician Will Keating and world-renowned banjo player John Dowling are joining forces for a month-long church tour.

The candlelit concerts will be held throughout February visiting various churches including Constantine, Budock Parish, St. Piran's, and St. Anthony-in-Meneage.

The performances are expected to be, "Cornish folk with a splice of bluegrass."

Award-winning songwriter Will Keating has been honing his live performance skills entertaining crowds in Cornwall, the South West, London, North Wales, and beyond, spreading old Cornish songs to new audiences and telling stories of Cornwall's rich history and heritage.

During the pandemic, Will streamed live, weekly, from his home in Falmouth to a global audience, receiving a letter of thanks from the Lord Lieutenant on behalf of HM the Queen for the community support.

During this time Will also produced a single to raise money for the Fisherman's Mission, after lives were lost when a Brixham fishing trawler went down.

Two sold-out, headline performances at the Iconic Minack Theatre in 2020 and 2021 cemented Will's growing reputation as a talented producer as well as a standout entertainer, "Cornish songs delivered with passion and presence, honesty and integrity," said Cornish folk legend Harry Glasson.

John Dowling's Banjo playing has won him high accolades from across the globe.

Previous winner, and twice finalist, of the prestigious BBC Radio 2 Young Folk awards, John notably became the first non-American to win the USA National Bluegrass Banjo Championships held in Kansas at the tender age of 21.

John also featured alongside Jools Holland and Courtenay Pine on TV 's 'Play it again' teaching the banjo to stand-up comedian Frank Skinner.

English singer-songwriter Ralph McTell said:

"John Dowling's banjo playing reminds us of the breadth of expression this sometimes-maligned instrument is capable of. In his hands, the dignity of this instrument is restored. John is not just a great banjo player, but a master musician."
