Officers living aboard the MS Silja Europa, a ferry docked in Falmouth, are self-isolating after an individual reported back a positive covid test.

The ferry got into Falmouth in the early hours of Saturday (5th) morning, and will house 1,000 personnel.

The officer reported the test in the early hours of this morning, those who have come in contact will now self isolate at an alternative location.

The number self-isolating equates to 12 people, according to Devon and Cornwall Police.

"The next stage is for those who have tested positive to undertake a PCR test. We are continuing to follow the advice of Public Health England," the force added.
