Falmouth G7 news: Charles Michel and Justin Trudeau touchdown ahead of summit

There were further arrivals this evening ahead of the G7 Summit as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and President of the European Council Charles Michel arrived at Cornwall Airport Newquay.

Justin Trudeau was greeted by Ralph Goodale, the High Commissioner of Canada, and Richard Austin, Special Representative of the Foreign Secretary.

Announcing his arrival on social media, Charles Michel, commented:

"Just landed in Cornwall, UK Flag of United Kingdom. At this G7 we can show the world that democracies find solutions to the greatest challenges of our time. The EU is at the forefront of international cooperation."
