A motorist had their car seized in Falmouth last night after being found to be driving without a licence or insurance.

The individual was driving past a stationary police vehicle along Cliff Road on Wednesday evening (27th) and gave a "childish gesture" towards officers.

The vehicle was stopped and routine checks were carried out by Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team.

It turned out the driver didn't have a full licence, insurance, or an eligble supervisor.

A spokesperson for the policing unit said:

"A childish gesture, namely sound your horn when driving by a stationary police marked vehicle, is pretty silly when you don't have a full licence and/or insurance and/or an eligible supervisor. Goodbye car."
