Falmouth Coastguard launch in early hours to evacuate casualty

Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team helped to evacuate a casualty this morning at Falmouth Bay.
Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team helped to evacuate a casualty this morning at Falmouth Bay.

Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked early this morning to a casualty evacuation.

The incident occurred at close to 6:30am (17th) in Falmouth Bay.

A spokesperson for Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team said:

"A daughter vessel transported the casualty into Port Pendennis Marina and passed them over to us.

"We provided casualty care until the arrival of an Ambulance."

The casualty was then taken to Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust - Treliske.

The coastguard did not reveal any further details regarding the injuries.
