Yesterday (19th) was being called 'Freedom Day' as Falmouth, Penryn, and Cornwall had nearly all covid restrictions lifted.

The changes impacted face coverings, social distancing, restaurants, pubs, and holidays.

However, Cornwall Council has urged residents to continue wearing face masks as covid cases remain high in the area.

A majority of local business owners are also continuing to keep restrictions in place.

One of those is Falmouth Rugby Club, which will be keeping masks as optional but will be mandatory when moving around the table service area and when ordering at the bar.

INDIdog, based on Market Street, has introduced a mindful dining policy which means, for now, they will continue as they were given the rise in official cases of Covid-19 in the region.

The Meat Counter, Arwenack Street, is also among many keeping the rules the same, asking customers to wear a face-covering whilst not seated, or alternatively show evidence of exemption.
