Travellers remain on land near Pendennis Castle today (9th), with Cornwall Council seeking a court order to remove the group.

A notice was issued by the council earlier this week which was seemingly ignored, with more people arriving at the site.

A local resident said the group were still there despite being told to vacate the land by 10am, Wednesday 7th July.

In an update, a Cornwall Council spokesperson told Nub News:

"The Council has now sought a court order to remove the unauthorised encampment, which covers all vehicles on the site. The application is due to be considered in court today (9th)."

We will share any further information from Cornwall Council as we get it.
