Coronavirus has meant a local pub has been forced to close for the remainder of the year.

The Trelowarren Arms based in Budock Water is expecting to stay closed until January 6th after covid cases.

Addressing customers yesterday afternoon the owners said they had both come down with covid and were left with no option but to shut the pub.

A spokesperson for The Trelowarren Arms added:

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support this year and look forward to seeing you in 2022."
