Lockdown rules are easing in Falmouth, Penryn and across the country with pubs and restaurants able to serve customers indoors, and social distancing guidelines relaxed.
Today (17th) sees a major step in the road out of lockdown, chatting to Nub News, pub and restaurant owners are clearly delighted to be back.
Jon Newton, manager at Five Degrees told Nub News:
"We have extended the bar out. It is great, we will see a slightly different drinking trend, people have been getting in early to get a table but now we will probably see people coming in later now there's a lot of other places open. We were closing at 11 before, now we will be open until 12."
Mark and Hannah, owners of The Cutty Sark, added:
"It is a little bit strange having people in again, because we have had the place to ourselves for so long, but it's lovely."
Significant parts of the hospitality industry will reopen again from today, and people are being advised to use common sense and personal responsibility rather than government rules when it comes to social distancing.
It is great to see so many of our fantastic pubs, cafes and restaurants open for indoor seating again - and more are expected to follow this Wednesday and later on in the week.
